As an Audit
Manager, you will lead a team of other professionals to work
through difficult audit and accounting issues. You will maintain
control over all aspects of the engagement including budget, review,
and staff development. You
will also participate in formal proposals.
Requirements:
·
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field ·
CPA license
·
5+ years of recent audit experience in public accounting
·
Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS and ability to research
difficult issues
·
Experience in motivating, leading, coaching and developing
staff
·
Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines
·
Demonstrate problem solving and engagement management
skills
·
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for all phases of an
audit, compilation, or review
engagement. 2. Maintain contact with clients
throughout the year; possess a thorough knowledge of the client and
all facets of clients’ business as well as keeping partner informed
of all important developments on engagement; analyze problems and
recommend
solutions. 3. Plan, schedule and staff engagements
using firm policies and
procedures.
4. Evaluate internal controls and work
programs prepared by staff. 5. Adhere to engagement time budgets. 6. Supervise staff and provide
on-the-job training; review work
papers and reports prepared by
staff. 7. Ensure that financial statements, tax
returns, and letters of recommendations are prepared in accordance
with professional
and firm standards. 8. Work to develop responsible, trained
staff by assisting in
performance evaluations. 9.
Possess a complete knowledge of
firm’s philosophy and its
opinions on financial matters. 10.
Participate in firm’s practice
development efforts.
